The body heals itself. Let's help it.
Restore your health.
Restore your quality of life.
Hello! I am Dr. Christine Daecher (pronounced “decker”). I am Board-Certified in Internal Medicine (IM), and I have received certification from the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM). Previously, I had a solo IM micro practice in Camp Hill, PA. After 14 years, I closed the practice, moved south, and transitioned to telemedicine, focusing on urgent care, wellness visits, and routine care with a large national company. While working in telemedicine in an insurance-based health system, I could only sprinkle bits of a functional medicine approach into the care I provided. My desire to help more patients has led me to change gears and open a new private practice so that I can fully apply functional medicine.

I am fully licensed in GA, FL, SC, TX, and PA.

How did I find functional medicine? Several years ago, I began my functional medicine training. I soon became disenchanted with some of my education and its application to chronic conditions, especially obesity. In conventional medicine, the physician is often alleviating symptoms or managing the condition. With functional medicine, the goal is to reverse illness and to do so with as little medication as possible. As a functional medicine physician, I use advanced labs to evaluate nutritional status, gut health, hormone levels, inflammatory processes, and body detoxification systems. I work with you to make meaningful lifestyle changes that become habits.
Whether your goal is to lose weight, reverse metabolic conditions, get off prescription medication, fix biotoxin (mold) illness, balance hormones, fix your gut, reverse autoimmune disease, or improve mitochondrial health, I am here to help.

What is the cost?Dr. Daecher's rate is $450/hour. Initial visits last 1 hour, the first subsequent visit lasts 1 hour, and further subsequent visits can be scheduled in 30 or 60 minutes, depending on need. In most cases, lab tests are paid for directly by you to the lab. Some laboratories may attempt to bill your insurance. For any imaging testing or other advanced testing, the testing facility may bill your insurance or you directly Rocommended supplements are paid by you directly to FullScript. Prescription medications are paid by you or your insurance.
-
Do you take insurance?Dr. Daecher does not take insurance. All payments are due in full at the time of service. Insurance neither covers the time needed to spend with patients nor a functional medicine approach to treatment. Managing complex chronic conditions is difficult in standard 10-minute appointments. Doctors often limit patient complaints to 1 or 2 per visit, and patients often have many. The lifestyle modifications are complex and require adequate time and attention. Labs, radiologic, and other tests may or may not be covered by your insurance.
